Why: These events aim to motivate, educate, and energize all Arkansans and their families, businesses, and government to take positive action for our a clean and healthy environment while celebrating Earth Day.

How many people attend? The 2008 Festival boasted an estimated 15,000 attendees; attracted over 60 sponsorships ranging from personal businesses, government agencies, individuals, and non-profits; showcased over 80 booths and vendors providing interactive and educational experiences; and received assistance from over 500 volunteers! More specifically, the festival has seen a compound Annual Growth Rate of 119% and a 500% growth in attendance from the first festival. The estimated attendance of the 2009 Festival is upwards of 20,000 visitors.

Who can participate? Families with children of all ages, professionals looking for green education, products and services, students looking for jobs and education in the environment field, businesses looking to change their ecological footprint, and committed environmentalists looking to network.  In accordance with our mission, preference is given to sponsorships from individuals, businesses and organizations that promote environmental stewardship, appreciation and awareness and can provide proof of their “green” achievements.

How can I be a part of the 2009 Earth Day Festival? Four options: You could… BE A SPONSOR of the event and fund our activities monetarily or with in-kind donations; HOST A BOOTH at the event and showcase the green of your business, organization or service; VOLUNTEER with us the day of the Festival by yourself, or in a group, OR help us plan the event from the very beginning. Volunteers will also be eligible to receive free Earth Day merchandise and last year AEDF organized over 500 volunteers! PERFORM on stage and entertain the crown with your band, dance crew or just yourself.

Applications for Sponsorship, Booths and Volunteers can be found through our website at ArkansasEarthDay.org, while applications through Performers go through SonicBids.com

What is the Festival’s Carbon Footprint? We always reduced the carbon footprint of our events as best we could and offset the carbon we couldn't (mostly attendee travel) making the festival carbon-free! At the event we are: providing full-spectrum recycling, using all electric or human-powered vehicles, making signs and other things from reclaimed/recycled materials, paperless policy, solar panels to help run our stage, providing refillable bottles and a single water source instead of bottled water, using recycled toilet paper and other paper goods, upholding a no-Styrofoam policy, and so much more!     How to contact Arkansas Earth Day Foundation? Our office is located at the building of the Ecological Conservation Organization (ECO) at 120 S. Cross St  Little Rock, AR 72201 (501) 537-0973 info@arkansasearthday.org or www.ArkansasEarthDay.org
