Arkansas Earth Day is always in need of items! Here are wish lists from each of our coordinators!

Remember, Arkansas Earth Day is a non-profit organization, so donations to us are tax-exempt donations! Please ask for your tax-exempt donation receipt when you drop of your items at our office. We can also send your receipt in the mail.

This is the list created for the 2008 festival. These needs may change for 2009, but are a great starting point!

 

Money/Financial Donations - cash, checks, or money orders accepted at our office or using PayPal below.

 
Somebody to organize street teams of folks that can help to distribute these postcards, and later our flyers, at other sustainability events and throughout the community.
Somebody to take still pictures and video of the festival
About 60 tables and 100 chairs to be delivered to the site for us to borrow for the day of the event.
Somebody to offer use of a 40’x40’ stage.
Somebody to offer free/reduced cost printing of our programs, t-shirts, and posters.
Print/Paint a 10 foot AED banner for use at booths we host at events
People to help call contacts that have received email invitations--follow up
People to possibly deliver the cards in the Little Rock area for potential speakers
Volunteers at each waste collection area to help with sorting and to provide information about recycling and the festival.
A Festival level waste consolidation area where people can see how much waste is generated and see what the different kinds of waste are.
Some waste professionals to answer questions and give information about aspects of waste processing.
Nice, reusable AED waste collection receptacles that we can reuse each year.
Someone who can present her/himself professionally to Central-Arkansas based businesses and organizations on behalf of Arkansas Earth Day, both by phone and in person. It would be great if this person had extra hours during weekdays to call and meet face-to-face with corporate/organization representatives in the

Little Rock area.
Someone who can help with administrative/research aspects of AED sponsorship/fundraising. This person would research corporations online, update spreadsheets and correspond with potential funders via email, phone, fax and snail mail.
