AEEA hosts Food, Land & People: A Workshop for Teachers and Non-Formal Educators

 

 

The Arkansas Environmental Education Association presents:

 

 

WHEN: Thursday, June 18, 2009 --8:30 AM registration --- 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

 

 

 

WHERE: Williamson Hall Dining Room, Arkansas Tech University

Russellville, Arkansas

COST: $40 for AEEA members, $50 for non-members

Project Food, Land & People promotes approaches to learning that help people better understand the interrelationships among agriculture, the environment, and people of the world.

 

Established in 1988, FLP is a non-profit organization whose curriculum is integrated with science, math, and social sciences. The 55 hands-on lessons serve Pre-K through 12th grade and have been tested by thousands of educators. Over 20,000 teachers have been trained and used Food, Land & People's lessons with over 2.6 million students since 1998. Arkansas is the 26th state to become an affiliate.
