Sustainable Alternatives will again host a monthly potluck dinner, but a few weeks earlier, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. As the main growing season draws to a close, we’re still celebrating local foods, but please bring any dish you’d like.
And what are we thankful for? Well, our state’s abundant natural resources, of which water is paramount. Join us to learn what YOU can do to protect water for our state’s future. We’ll present a short (5 minutes total, we promise!) overview of a new initiative to educate citizens, businesses, and public officials about a wide range of water issues. Additionally, we want to hear your greatest concerns and learn what would motivate you to become actively involved in water protection.
We’ve got a full kitchen for last minute preparations, and we’ll provide cutlery, dishes, ice, and seating. Please feel free to bring the entire family and arrive anytime between 5:30-8 p.m. Our intention is to share fresh, local foods and encourage all to explore the possibilities of incorporating localism in every aspect of our daily lives. And if you can’t bring a dish, just bring a small donation instead ($7 suggested)
Parking is tight, so please consider walking, riding your bike, carpooling, or taking the bus.
