Dinner and Gardener's Q&A with Armstead Mountain Farm

Come GROW with ASN!
Friday, Feb. 20th, 6pm to 8pm at
Christ Episcopal Church in the Fellowship Hall
You are invited to the first in a series of ASN local food events. Join us on Friday, February 20th for dinner and a presentation by Rusty and Sue Nuffer of Armstead Mountain Farm. After a brief presentation about their farm, we'll open it up for a Q&A about their farm, local foods, and how to produce quality vegetables.
Thanks to Enzyme Foods and The Root Cafe for providing our dinner options. Dinner tickets are $12.00/ea, or $10.00/each with a completed recipe template to be utilized in our local foods cookbook.
Dinner is pre-RSVP only, you can pay at the event, but must reserve your plate. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Dinner Options:
The Root Cafe will be offering our cooked meal option of a hearty veggie or meat soup, along side a scrumptious salad and delicious bread.
Meat Option:
Organic White Bean Soup with baby kale and ground buffalo.
Veggie Option:
Cheesy Cauliflower puree with creme Fraiche and diced scallions.
Salad: Organic Field Greens with Ozark Black Walnuts, Honeysuckle Lane Raw Milk Cheese, edible flowers and Arkansas Black Apple Vinaigrette.
Enzyme Foods will offer an organic raw foods entree:
RAW ORGANIC FALAFEL PLATE:
raw falafel on a bed of local mixed greens, drizzled with our raw zucchini hummus. kalamatta olives, slices of tomato, and parsley.
served with our dill flavored jewel yam chips.
dessert:
RAW ORGANIC CARROT CAKE: our carrot cake is a mixture of carrots, dates, agave nectar, cinnamon and nutmeg on a coconut crust.
topped with a white cashew cinnamon cream icing. $3.50/slice
