Dear Friends,

Please join us at this year’s local foods dinner sponsored by Heifer International! Ann Cooper, a celebrity chef from San Francisco, Calif., and author of Bitter Harvest and Lunch Lessons: Changing the Way We Feed Our Children, will speak about farm-to-school programs and health and nutrition for all at Heifer International’s “Hundred Mile Meal” on Friday, April 18, at the Doubletree Hotel Ballroom.

The Hundred Mile Meal focuses on the value of consuming local foods, and is so named because all the food for the dinner will come from local producers (no more than 100 miles away). Chef Cooper’s books will be available for purchase and signing following the event.

The event begins with the locally grown dinner. The meal is an opportunity to meet and learn about local food producers, many of whom will provide the food served at the event.

Dinner reservations are required. Admission is $20 per person. Dinner tickets are limited so reserve your seat today. However, Ann Cooper’s talk at 7:30 p.m. is free and open to the public with no reservations required.
