Organization Information
- What You Do
Our purpose statment affirms that we "are diverse residents, united in partnership for the purpose of discovering and nurturing sustainable communities." So far, we've hosted author David Korten's presentation on "The Great Turning", sponsored a county-wide forum Sustainability, and organized into a community group involved with education, research, communication, and local project support. Our Local Organic Agriculture Group is presently bringing two different Community Supported Agriculture programs to our area, preparing to host organic gardening workshops, and supporting community gardens and heirloom seed preservation. Other interests are Alternative Fuels, Transportation, Bike Trails, Whole Health, Green Building, "Greening" the Faith Community, Sustainability at School, Green Spaces, "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle", Diversifying our Community, Business Involvement, and Gleaning.
